MyTreatment welcomes you to its Website located at www.mytreatment.com. MyTreatment strives to provide its community of consumers with health information we believe to be relevant and important to their needs. The purpose of this policy is to describe the ways in which we strive to ensure the content on our Site is accurate and credible. This policy will also illustrate the differences between our editorial content, our community content, our website links, and our advertisements.

News, features, and other editorial content are determined by an in-house editorial staff, which evaluates consumer interest in particular topics. The regularity of news and feature updates is also dependent on consumer interest.

Unless specifically indicated, MyTreatment's editorial content is independent of any sponsor or advertiser. News will always include the date it was distributed. As for accuracy, when we can, we attempt to label all content with its source and review third-party editorial content for accuracy prior to distribution.

MyTreatment provides valuable health information, tools for managing your health, savings on health-related products and services, and support to those who seek information. For those who choose to register, MyTreatment can further personalize your experience.

Sources of Our Content

MyTreatment has four different kinds of content: editorial content, user-generated community content, links to websites, and advertisements. Each of these types of content is distinguished by either visual cues or indicated within the byline:

Editorial Content
Editorial content includes feature articles, news, graphics, photographs, videos, quizzes, tips, polls, trackers, and assessment tools that are published on the Site under the direction of our editorial staff.

Editorial content on MyTreatment includes:
(a) Licensed content, which we license from trusted names in health care, including ADAM and Thompson among others.
(b) MyTreatment content.

The sources of editorial news and feature content are clearly marked at the beginning or end of each article. For example, MyTreatment's original content is marked "MyTreatment News". We designate licensed content as provided by HealthDay, Healthwise, or other content providers.
Community Content
Our free online communities make it easy to connect with others who share similar health and lifestyle concerns. Users of MyTreatment can post questions, answers, and comments within our forums and blogs; create their own blogs; and form social support groups. Community content (material generated by users of our Site) appears within the Connect area, which you can find via the "Connect" tab at the top of every page of the Site. Since community content is, by nature, personal and constantly being created, it is not subject to medical or editorial staff review, and we urge you to use caution when evaluating this information. Sites We Link To
On occasion we will link to other sites, which may have content that is valuable or relevant based on the section of the Site you are visiting. We are not approving nor endorsing the material on the other site as it has not been subjected to the review processes we apply to MyTreatment content.
Advertising
MyTreatment relies on the sale of advertising and promotions to generate revenue. MyTreatment makes a concerted effort to distinguish sponsored offers and advertisements from editorial or community content where applicable. If at any time, the MyTreatment editorial staff feels an offer or advertisement may be confused with unbiased health information, at MyTreatment's sole discretion, we will attempt to label that material with "sponsored" or "advertisement." Editorial and Medical Review Policies

MyTreatment also abides by the editorial and medical review policies described below.

Licensed Content: Health and medical content that we license from our partners, including Healthwise, ADAM, HealthDay, and Reuters Health, among others, is prepared and reviewed under each partner's policies. Our licensors generally have editorial and medical review processes that are equivalent to ours. If the licensor does not meet these criteria, we subject the licensed content to our own editorial and medical review processes.

MyTreatment Content: This content is produced, selected, and reviewed by our staff of health writers and editors. Content that is related to a treatment or condition is subject to medical review by the QH Advisory Board, composed of health-care professionals with appropriate medical credentials (most often board-certified or board-eligible physicians or Pharm.D.'s). These medical professionals review the content for medical accuracy, safety, and sourcing.

Corrections

MyTreatment's editorial staff attempts to meet the industry standards for editorial content accuracy. We will make reasonable efforts to correct or remove false, misleading, or incorrect editorial content excerpts once they have been brought to our attention.

Revisions may apply to both exclusive MyTreatment and third-party content. Please note that while we will try to make efforts to review and verify licensed content prior to distribution, it is ultimately the responsibility of any third-party publisher to correct any inaccuracies and factual errors.

MyTreatment welcomes reader suggestions, as well as complaints about any product or service or errors that warrant correction. Messages on news articles and features can be emailed to general-editorial@mytreatment.com.
